Many months ago, my friend Heather of The Wild Forest Witchery sent me a picture of a knitted capelet with a hood. She asked me if I could make something like it but crochet. So, I studied the picture, came up with a design, and got to work!
If you follow my crochet Instagram I’m sure you saw the in-progress photos, the mock design from several different colors of yarn, and the many times I had to frog the pattern. Well, I’m happy to say that it’s done!
I got it finished, blocked, and blessed before sending it out to her 
Here are the (poorly taken) photos I took before I put it in the mail. I’m hoping to make another one and make a few adjustments to the pattern. I’m also hoping that I can find the time to write up the pattern, have it tested, and release it for sale in my shop!
I wasn’t sure if I was going to do an edging besides a single crochet edge to keep it clean. Then one day my sister-in-law was at Joann’s and I asked her to look for faux fur yarn and they had some! I’m glad I did. You’re right, it’s the perfect touch!
